BIO.
Based in Brooklyn FATEFROMMARS, also known as Dessy, is a singer/songwriter with sounds that emulate a new era of alternative R&B and Neo-Soul. Starting out in the local music scene, and expanding her work through SoundCloud, FATEFROMMARS has been able to develop a portfolio of content that is shaping the way audiences perceive how independent artists can grow their work. With the release of her first live recording session, ON-OCATION, in collaboration with SKÄV in November of 2021, FATEFROMMARS is beginning to display her talent in a variety of different fashions.

FATEFROMMARS has been a part of an ever-growing community of independent artists who are attempting to cultivate a body of cohesive work, rich in free expression, since late 2020. As a proud queer and POC, the experiences of struggling with inner acceptance and outer acceptance, overcoming generational trauma, and finding peace through spirituality are undeniable elements found throughout FFM’s tracks.
Through SoundCloud, the FFM sound has transitioned from lo-fi tracks such as Forgotten Dreams to experimenting with R&B seen in tracks C: RUSH and most recently released, Gravity. FATEFROMMARS made her first official "touch down" on earth in the spring of 2022, with the single, EUPHORIA, through artist services company, SKÄV. In addition, three more singles are set to be released later in the year. From then on, she plans to take her audience on a flight through the cosmos and beyond, as she journeys to becoming a breakout talent.
